Week 3 - Creating a Website

Website's are widely used and readily available resources for everyone. The use of a website as a learning resource can be advantageous to students if it is created and used suitably. I have created a SWOT analysis below to assess the suitability of Websites as a learning resource.

Strengths:

• Can be created by teachers to provide activities to students 
• Content such as videos, photos and links to other websites can be added
• Students can access them anytime and they can be completed and viewed outside school hours

Weaknesses

• They can not be edited by anyone but the creator so it does not allow students to work collaboratively 
• Teachers cannot provide questions for students to answer

Opportunities

• Students have the opportunity to show their creativity and what they have learnt by creating their own websites

Threats

•  Anyone can access the websites making a possibility of it being unsafe for students to use
